Winter webinars

During those long winter evenings, why not join CBDC for the Winter Webinar Programme? An opportunity to find out more about wildlife recording, habitat surveying and site monitoring, these sessions provide a deep dive into a range of topics, a chance to meet the CBDC team and ask them a recording question you have always wondered about, and space to try new recording approaches.

The programme will change each year but there will generally be two evening webinars in the months before the Recorders’ Conference. The webinars are free to attend and you can sign up by clicking the relevant link in the programme below.

2024/25 Winter Webinar Programme:

  • Tuesday 17th December 2024, 6:30-7:30pm: Biological Recording with Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre
If you are new to recording, this is the session for you! We will run through why we record, how to record, what makes a good record and tools available to help you with recording. If you have some experience of recording, you are welcome to join the session and share your own experiences of what works (or doesn’t).
  • Tuesday 21st January 2025, 6:30-7:30pm: Updating Cumbria’s County Wildlife Sites
Don’t know what a County Wildlife Site is? This is your opportunity to find out and meet the team behind the new project which is hoping to survey all 1600 Cumbrian County Wildlife Sites – many of which have never been visited before.

If you would like to attend either of these webinars, complete the booking form to be sent the meeting link. Don’t forget to add the event to your calendar/diary!
