Visit Us

We welcome visitors by appointment, whether it is to have a chat about a recording project, make use of our recorder support facilities or just because you'd like to learn more about what we do. The CBDC offices are situated adjacent to the Tullie House museum building on Abbey Street, in Herbert Atkinson House. Please ring the doorbell (it's a red door with Herbert Atkinson House written above) and ask for Teresa, Gary or Moustafa.

Herbert Atkinson House, Abbey Street (sat nav: CA3 8TX, NY39735601) is just a few minutes walk from Carlisle Railway station, near the Cathedral in Carlisle's Historic Quarter. Limited free parking of up to an hour may be available on Abbey Street with a parking disc. Longer term parking is available at Devonshire Walk Car Park. Directions to Tullie House.
